Mirabela Photography is a not for profit business and my services are exclusively at no charge to families who recently resettled in the US. I look at this as my way of helping you to build new memories and keepsakes as you grow roots in your new homeland.
My photography philosophy is to capture images in a way that depicts the wondrous depth and complexity of who each person is, where they came from, and where they are on their life path!
I take family and individual portraits to celebrate your life journey and memorialize them in the most vibrant way I know - through digital photography. I love hearing stories about what you left behind, what challenges you have endured, and what hopes and dreams you have for your future. This also helps me understand how to be true to your story in the pictures I take.
I typically like to select outdoor settings in the Houston Area to take my portraits, like Hermann Park, but I am also happy to take in-home photographs if that is preferred. All of my sessions are done using a high-caliber SLR digital camera. After I complete touch ups and editing on the photos, I share the images via a digital file which you can then use to print or save your photographs.

Mirabela Photography was founded with a mission to honor the diversity of the Houston community and the promise of the American dream to all people that seek out the United States as their home. When I am not in school or taking pictures, I am volunteering my time to other social causes I care deeply about like supporting refugee organizations, making the arts accessible to all, and contributing in various way to create a more empathetic and engaged community. I am also an avid traveler and love learning about the history and cultures of people all around the world.
